A Dragon Comes to Class

When a sweet little girl dragon needs a new home, what do we do? We bring her to the life science classroom! Welcome to Dot, the Bearded Dragon.

As you can see, Dot has frills around her neck, making her look like she has a spiky beard. She is also in the process of shedding, getting rid of a layer of old skin, to look pretty and new! Dot is a reptile, and an omnivore, which means she eats meat (insects) and plants. So far, crickets are her favorite, but she will settle for some fruits and veggies as well. She thought that tomatoes were ok. She is very friendly, docile, and loves her new group of people. We will keep learning more about Dot as she gets settled in. For now, here are a few more pictures.
